Winnipeggers taking care of one another have been one of the bright spots of the COVID-19 pandemic. And Be Kind Winnipeg is an example of just that.
The Instagram account dedicated to random acts of kindness brings smiles (unfortunately, under masks currently), positivity and motivation to staff and volunteers through weekly food delivery drop-offs to organizations and frontline workers that have been supporting the community during these tough times. Recipients appreciate Be Kind Winnipeg’s gestures of gratitude for everything they have done for the community through these unpredictable times.
This grant will allow the group to continue drop-offs and also support their snow shovelling initiative, which helps spread cheer and lifts spirits in the community when individuals wake up thinking they have to shovel their driveway before they start their day but instead see that someone has already done it for them!
