2024 Regional Streets Renewal Program
Grant Ave – Rockwood St to Stafford St
The City of Winnipeg will be doing construction on Grant Ave this summer. Work will occur on eastbound Grant Ave from Rockwood St to Stafford St and on westbound Grant from Harrow St to Stafford St.
Work will begin between May 21 and May 31, 2024 and last approximately 15-18 weeks, weather permitting.
We will:
- Remove existing asphalt
- Repair sewer infrastructure and pavement
- Adjust manholes/drainage inlets
- Replace the concrete curb and fix the damaged sidewalk
- Repave the road with an asphalt overlay
- Restore the boulevard
During construction:
- Eastbound Grant will be limited to one lane
- Westbound Grant will be limited to one lane
- There will be no on-street parking
- We will maintain pedestrian access to all properties. Sidewalks may be closed on one side of the street at a time
