2024 Regional Streets Renewal Program
Taylor Ave – Lindsay St to Centennial St
Taylor Ave will be under construction this summer in order to make repairs and improvements. The construction will start between May 21 and May 31, 2024 and last approximately 15-18 weeks, weather permitting.
We will:
- Repair pavement on eastbound Taylor (Lindsay to Renfrew)
- Repair pavement on westbound Taylor (Lindsay to Centennial)
- Replace underground infrastructure, street lights, and manhole/drainage inlets
- Install a new pedestrian crossing at Taylor and Lanark
- Add a new 3.5-metre wide multi-use pathway on the north side of Taylor
- Repave the rail crossing surface
- Restore the boulevard
During construction:
- Eastbound Taylor will be limited to one lane
- Westbound Taylor will be limited to one lane
- There will be no on-street parking
- In the fall, eastbound and westbound Taylor at the rail tracks will be closed to all traffic for 1-2 weekends to allow work to occur. Signage will be placed beforehand to inform residents and businesses. Access to 1580 Taylor will be maintained
- We will maintain pedestrian access to all properties. Sidewalks may be closed on one side of the street at a time
