The Winnipeg 150 anniversary exhibit is coming to a library near you!
This exhibit features images from collections at the City of Winnipeg Archives, Winnipeg Public Library (Community Services), Manitoba Museum, Archives of Manitoba/Hudson’s Bay Company Archives, and other sources.
It also features a number of themes, including Indigenous histories and contributions, Winnipeg’s location in the centre of Canada, its role as a transportation and commercial hub, and the history of our municipal government.
The exhibit is popping up at different City libraries over the coming months and can be viewed anytime during the libraries’ open hours.

- Louis Riel Library: Tuesday, July 2 – Friday, August 30, 2024
- Henderson Library: Monday, September 2 – Thursday, October 3, 2024
- St. Boniface Library: Friday, November 1 – Monday, December 30, 2024
- Pembina Trail Library: Friday, January 3 – Friday, February 28, 2025
- St. James-Assiniboia Library: Monday, March 3 – Wednesday, April 30, 2025
- Cornish Library: Monday, May 5 – Friday, June 27, 2025
The exhibit was prepared by City staff at the City Archives, Planning, Property and Development Department, Winnipeg Public Library, and other contributors.
