The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA)’s Community Nutrition Educator (CNE) Program is pleased to announced the addition of ten newly trained volunteers!
Volunteers are the key to the success of the CNE program and now with a total of 15 active CNEs, the program has even more capacity to provide services to organizations and agencies throughout Winnipeg.
The CNE Program is a free service to support community programs and non-profit organizations. The goal is to enhance community food literacy through peer-to-peer skill development and promotion of healthy food environments. CNEs are trained volunteers who provide reliable, unbiased, and current information on healthy eating and food to the community. CNEs work with a variety of people and groups in all community areas of Winnipeg.
