The grass clippings, leaves, and twigs that residents have hauled to the curb for yard waste collection have been turned into piles of compost ready for your garden! We are giving it away for free May 13 to 15, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., while quantities last.

- Kilcona Dog Park, west parking lot off McIvor Avenue (line up on Norris Road, south of McIvor Avenue)
- Summit Road closed landfill site, Summit Road north of Optimist Park
This event is open to Winnipeg residents only. Residents must bring their own containers, shovels, and gloves. There is a limit of 100 litres of compost per vehicle (approximately five 19-litre/five-gallon pails) and no trailers are allowed. To promote social distancing, only one vehicle will be allowed per compost pile at a time.
