Coming soon, new cross-country ski trail at Kleysen park beside Linden Woods Community Centre.
The Winnipeg Trails Association is creating a new one-kilometer cross country ski loop around Kleysen park by the Linden Woods Community Centre. Look for the trailhead to pop up at the south-east corner of the parking lot. This trail is one of several new loops being tracked across Winnipeg through a partnership between the City of and the Winnipeg Trails Association.
An added bonus to make skiing available to more people this year is he “Icicle Garden”. A winter equipment library setup by Winnipeg Trails as part of the Winter:Peg initiative. This growing rental library of winter equipment open to anyone, offered on a sliding rental scale. Look for them on site and a calendar will be coming so you can know when they will be in the community.
