June 9th the City of Winnipeg launched a new online tool that allows vehicle owners to view the photo evidence associated with parking tickets from their computer or mobile device.
Previously, photo evidence related to a ticket could only be viewed by corresponding with a screening officer, which often led to delays in resolving appeals. Using the online photo evidence viewer, the evidence associated with a tickets can be seen before a vehicle owner decides to appeal.
The online photo evidence viewer is expected to reduce the number of vehicle owners contesting their tickets, and will significantly reduce the wait time for those who still decide to proceed with an appeal.
