Neighbourhood Action Teams are back to fix up your block

Crews are out for a second straight year to repair and clean up neighbourhoods across the city

Our Neighbourhood Action Teams are back tidying up Winnipeg neighbourhoods.

Crews are tackling everything from potholes and broken signs to sidewalk repairs, tree debris, and boulevard maintenance in targeted neighbourhoods.

Mayor Scott Gillingham said “Potholes, broken signage, fallen branches. When these issues are addressed at the same time, it helps restore pride in our communities. I’m excited to see this program grow with even more teams working across Winnipeg this year.”

The Neighbourhood Action Teams program began operations in 2025. Its focus is to perform tasks that generate the most service requests through 311. When work is done, we close all service requests related to our work within that area.

The program has expanded to five seven-person teams that will rotate through all 15 wards from May through October 2026. Crews will spend about four weeks in each area.

Work plans are developed in collaboration with city councillors and local stakeholders like Business Improvement Zones (BIZ), ensuring each team’s time is focused on local priorities.
