Winnipeggers invited to have their say on zoning by-law rewrite

Winnipeggers invited to have their say on zoning by-law rewrite

Open houses begin May 19 and survey is available until June 5

Winnipeg, MB – We’re inviting Winnipeggers to weigh in on the future of our zoning by-law.

We want to know what’s working well and what we could improve as we update our zoning rules for the first time in 20 years.

Zoning shapes our neighbourhoods — how buildings look, where shops and services go, and how streets and public spaces feel. It sets rules for how land and buildings can be used and developed. We’re creating a modern zoning by-law that will be easier to use, support more housing options, and better match how Winnipeg is growing today.

Residents can share their feedback through an online survey, at an in-person open house, or during our virtual event.

More information on the zoning by-law rewrite project and details on engagement activities is available at: winnipeg.ca/zoningrewrite

The online survey is available on the project website until Friday, June 5.
