Winnipeg Public Library is seeking applications for the 2021-2022 edition of its Writer-in-Residence program.
This position offers mentorship and public workshops to emerging Manitoba writers and the successful candidate will work with writers by phone, email, online conferencing, or in-person (when possible). They will host workshops and online programming to share their expertise on topics such as writing for specific genres or getting published. This residency also includes time to work on a personal writing project.
The Writer-in-Residence term runs from October 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022. Applications are due Monday, July 5, 2021.
The Writer-in-Residence program has helped shape hundreds of new and emerging Manitoba writers since its inception in 1985. For more details, please visit winnipeg.ca/library.
