Winnipeg Wellness Grant Recipient: $600 for Storefront Manitoba Inc. to celebrate active transportation and sustainable infrastructure

Staying active has never been more important to our physical and mental health than it has been this year.

Café Nano is an outdoor café installation, transported to and along the river trail by bicycle, is designed to get Winnipeggers moving and connecting this winter.

Powered by battery, it promotes and celebrates active transportation and sustainable infrastructure. The café will be operated by Storefront Manitoba and will move along the Assiniboine River Trail.

This funding will help the café provide hot chocolate purchased from local business Thom Bargen and a selection of books about architecture in Manitoba and maps showing a snapshot of the skating trails and community-led installations on the river to the visitors at no cost.

As well, a 24 x 36” sign of the map will be placed beside the walking path on Wellington Crescent at Waverley Street.
