Support for Linden Woods Community Centre during COVID-19

This past Community Committee Meeting I was proud to grant $1,500.00 to the Linden Woods Community Centre to support our community events and keep our community centre safe.

The Linden lights competition is about to start lighting up Linden woods again this year with twinkly lights and friendly completion among neighbours. I was happy to support this years covid friendly event with a grant of $800.00 for updating the plaques, helping out with rides for judges so they can stay safe and socially distanced, and lights for the community centre so they can get in on the fun to.

As we re all looking for safe things to do as a family this winter I hope you take a drive and check out the Linden Lights, Over the years we have had the pleasure of driving Candy Cane lane (Fox Meadow Drive), Polar Bear Lane (Hennessey Drive) and seen streets like Park Royal Bay marshaling a troop of toy solders Over on Linden Shore drive in recent years a waddle of Penguins has been forming one of the few sighted in North America. I look forward to seeing what new delights will be found.

I was equally happy to give a grant of $700.00 to upgrade the taps in the canteen to touchless. Meeting new covid standards and creating a safe and health community place. I look forward to seeing the new space once complete and safety open again.
