National Indigenous Peoples Day

Join the Children’s Museum on June 21st for National Indigenous Peoples Day.

This is a day to celebrate and learn about the history and diversity of Indigenous culture. Create artwork with Ojibwe artist Alice RL from Forum Art Centre, experience Indigenous performances from Summer Bear Dance Troupe, interact with some touchable Inuit display items, and enjoy tasty bannock (while supplies last) from Feast Bistro!

Event Schedule

  • Drumming & Dance Workshop (Barb Nepinak & Summer Bear Dance Troupe): 11:00AM & 1:00PM
  • Teepee Building & Story Time: 12:00PM & 2:00PM
  • Bannock: Served at 11:30AM (available while supplies last)
  • Forum Art Centre Workshop with Alice RL: 11:00AM – 3:00PM
  • Manitoba Museum Inuit Artifact Display Table: 11:00AM – 3:00PM
