Ensuring Rapid Transit is on the agenda

During Council's debate on accepting the 2010 Capital Budget, Bus Rapid Transit was supported by a majority of Councillors in principal and the future is promising.

The goal was to ensure that Council continues its goal to complete the Bus Rapid Transportation corridor to the University of Manitoba.

"This Bus Rapid Transportation corridor is a part of an over all sustainability strategy to divert traffic effectively down town to and from the South of the City and we need to finish the project." exclaimed Councillor Orlikow when ask why he seconded the motion.”
