2nd Annual Kelvin Social in Support of the Kelvin Active Living Centre

Apr 29, 2017

UPDATE: Despite the fact that the Kelvin Gym project was not included on the provincial government's recent funding list for infrastructure projects, the social will still be held and the Kelvin Parent Advisory Council will continue to raise funds for this important community initiative.

The Kelvin High School Parent Advisory Council is holding the 2nd Annual Kelvin Social on April 29, 2017, in support of the Kelvin Active Living Centre. Present and future Kelvin students and community members, who will have access to the new space through programs organized by partners outside of school-use hours, will benefit from the new facility. We expect to have a “full house” of community members, alumni and supporters from across Winnipeg.

Included at the social, which starts at 8 p.m. at Kelvin High School, will be a raffle to raise additional funds for the Active Living Centre and equipment needed to ensure it is used to the fullest by students and the community. Some of the prizes we have secured thus far are a wine package, a restaurant package, bikes, bar fridge with refreshments, lottery tree, guitar with lessons, tickets for Folklorama, Rainbow Stage, MTC and much more.

A late lunch will be provided by community restaurants.  Tickets are $20 and are available at the school.
