Living Prairie Museum Presents Theme Thursdays in August

Join the Living Prairie Museum for free, family education programs every Thursday from July 14 to August 25. Programs include a presentation on a prairie topic followed by an activity. Theme Days are suited to ages 4 - 11. Parental supervision is required.

Register for one of two sessions: 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., or 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Please register a week in advance by calling 204-832-0167. Friends of the Living Prairie Museum members are eligible to register at any time.

August 4: An Ant's Life

Live a day as an ant! There's a lot to learn about the queen and her royal family. 

August 11: Travelling Seeds

Find out how seeds float, dig, and hitchhike to keep the prairie growing.

August 18: Clouds and Storms

Weather can be wild on the prairies. Learn about clouds and how storms are formed.

August 25: Prairie Scavenger Hunt

Can you find all the hidden items for a prairie prize?
