Linden Lights Traffic Flow

Linden Lights Traffic Flow

This year’s edition of Linden Lights has been extremely popular! While we are all thrilled to be able to share some light and joy this holiday season, our popularity has resulted in increased traffic in the neighbourhood.

To assist the neighbourhood, the City of Winnipeg has developed some turn restrictions for Polar Bear lane (Hennessey Drive and Shorecrest Drive) and Candy Cane lane (Foxmeadow Drive). Applicable only in the evenings from 5:00pm to 9:00pm to help traffic flow at peak times, while still sharing our impressive display of lights.

Letters are being sent to residents of the affected streets, and maps with the changes to our traffic patterns are attached here. We hope that this helps during these unprecedented times as people are finding joy in our community Christmas lights.

The temporary restrictions are as follows:
No Right Turn from northbound Shorecrest Drive to eastbound Hennessey Drive
·         Right Turn Only from westbound Park Royal Bay to northbound Shorecrest Drive (south intersection)
·         Right Turn Only from westbound Park Royal Bay to northbound Shorecrest Drive (north intersection)

The temporary restrictions will be installed at the north intersection of Lindenwood Drive E and Foxmeadow Drive and are as follows:
·         No Right Turn from northbound Lindenwood Drive E to eastbound Foxmeadow Drive
·         No Left Turn from southbound Lindenwood Drive E to eastbound Foxmeadow Drive
·         Right Turn Only from westbound Foxmeadow Drive to northbound Lindenwood Drive E
